主讲人简介：
Roberto A. Valdeón is Professor in English Studies at the University of Oviedo, Spain, Honorary Professor at Jinan University in Zhuhai, China, and Research Fellow at the University of the Free State, South Africa. He is the editor-in-chief of Perspectives: Studies in Translation Theory and Practice and the general editor of the Benjamins Translation Theory Library. He has published nearly 200 articles on translation studies. He has been listed among Stanford University’s “World’s Top 2% Scientists” for 2024 and has been ranked first in Translation Studies by ScholarGPS for five consecutive years. He is a fellow of the Academia Europaea.

内容提要：
Artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed the ways in which we write and publish, reshaping how content is created, edited, reviewed, and disseminated. The talk will explore the opportunities and challenges presented by AI-powered tools in academia, including increased efficiency as well as concerns related to authorship, mistakes, bias, and ethical responsibility. It will highlight the challenges for stakeholders such as editors and reviewers in maintaining quality and integrity in AI-assisted environments, illustrated with recent examples of articles submitted to Perspectives and the speaker’s own experience using AI.
